Who Am I?
My name is Joel
I've been involved with writing and producing scripts and short films for a number of years now. I've worked in jobs ranging from berry picking to nursing. I have an incredible loving and supporting partner who encourages me to do crazy stuff like this. And, I am a very proud dad of three wild little hooligans who are going to give me grey hair very soon here.
Having grown up in BC, I have always enjoyed photography. Though, I soon found landscape photography too boring for my liking, and eventually found my passion was in boudoir photography and cinematic-style art projects. Partially in the portrayal of raw emotion and personality, not hiding behind how we portray ourselves but embracing who we are, as we are. And also in seeing how impactful it can be to see ourselves in this light, empowered past the insecurities and shame that most of us grew up with.
LGBTQ2S+ friendly, inclusive and body positive. I want to work with you to create a safe, positive and fun environment to create together.
Having been on both sides of the camera, I want to help you be comfortable, confident, and unashamed of who you are. Quirky, glamorous, or artsy and wild. Together we can create a snapshot of yourself, for yourself.
